ANIMAL TESTING

As you all know I love makeup and the beauty industry, however there is a 'dark side' to everything. The 'dark side' to this industry is in fact animal testing. Every year thousands and thousands of animals are slaughtered and poisoned for product tests of cosmetics. Most animals used in testing are bunnies, guinea pigs, mice and rats. These animals are blinded, burned,  given brain damage and given electric shocks. Many of us, myself included, do not realise the extent of brands that use animals for testing. Some of these brands include; Benefit, Bobbi Brown,  Estee Lauder,  L'Oreal, MAC, Makeup Forever, Maybelline and Rimmel. I was shocked to see that so  many brands that I use cosmetics from regularly use animal testing.  I am not a crazy vegan and will not order you to throw out anything you have from these brands. What I personally, have started to do is assess my makeup collection and use up all the products I have from animal testing brands. Some of my holy grail products are from these brands so I will be repurchasing these until I find dupes! In the future hopefully all brands will be cruelty free, but for now we all just need to slowly make the transition.
